HTML select Tag

  • HTML <select> tag is used to create a drop-down list within form element.

  • Using The <option> tag to create an option items within a <select> tag and option items can be grouped together using <optgroup> within a <select> tag.

HTML <select> tag support following specific attributes.

Attributes Value Description
autofocus autofocus Specifies boolean value that indicates <select> element should be automatically get focus when it load.
disabled disabled Specifies disabled value that indicates <select> element should have disabled.
form form_id Specifies the form, this <select> element is associated with it.
